Overdue book is returned after 45 years

The Penguin copy of "Quartermass and the Pit" by Nigel Kneale was finally returned to Dinnington Library 45 years overdue. The principal assistant would like to know the story behind the return. The person need not worry--library records don't go back that far. Read the story here. Compare that to two books that were 50 years overdue and was returned with a cheque for estimated fines!
